RESCO Partners with Kinnickinnic River Land Trust

Hudson, WI – March 23 – RESCO, with facilities in Hudson and River Falls, Wisconsin has partnered with the Kinnickinnic River Land Trust as a “Watershed Associate” member of the newly launched Corporate Council for the Kinni. The designation signifies that RESCO, believing in the sustainable mission for the KRLT, has contributed $1,000 to the organization for the protection of the Kinnickinnic River and its watershed.

Nelson French, the Executive Director of the Kinnickinnic River Land Trust, hopes that many St. Croix Valley’s businesses will follow in RESCO’s steps to become “Corporate Council Members.” According to French, “RESCO is a great example of corporate stewardship. They are a business in which management and employees recognize and understand the need to preserve the natural beauty we have here in the St. Croix Valley, specifically in this case, with the Kinnickinnic River. In addition to generously discounting our annual reports, RESCO has stepped up with a financial contribution which will help us maintain an active program to purchase high priority land in the Kinnickinnic River Watershed. These areas will remain undeveloped and help to keep the Kinni flowing cold, clean and clear in perpetuity.”

Along with RESCO CEO, Eric Strand, who has been a long-time contributor to the KRLT, company President, John Knutson states, “We work and live here in the St. Croix Valley and have so much to be thankful for. It’s a spectacular area and we all want our children, and their children, to be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the region as much as we have.”
